The MINK League is composed of teams from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. It is a summer Collegiate Baseball league operating 10 teams throughout the Midwest. The League provides a venue for college players who wish to develop their skills to enter the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Paul Klover Soccer League offers leagues for boys and girls, ages 4 -18, in both recreational and competitive environments. The recreational (fall) season is played from mid-August through October. Competitive leagues are formed in both the fall and the spring. In addition, an indoor Futsal league is held at the Boys and Girls Club during January, February and March. The indoor season also offers leagues for men and women.

Boonslick Regional Library provides public library services to the citizens of three counties: Benton County, Cooper County and Pettis County (excluding the City of Sedalia). The Pettis County facility, located in Sedalia, is the largest library and serves as the administrative headquarters for the library system. The administrative headquarters includes the following services: bookmobile, reference and interlibrary loan, technical processing and computer/network services for the library district. Other libraries in the system are the Benton County libraries located in Cole Camp and Warsaw; and the Cooper County library located in Boonville. The Boonslick Regional Library Bookmobile provides a vital outreach service to residents residing in rural areas of each county in the library district.

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 2002 on the campus of State Fair Community College. The art collections and publications of the Daum shed light on the stimulating complexity of contemporary art. The museum exhibits selections from the permanent collection including paintings, drawings, prints, works in clay, and sculpture created since the mid-20th century. Daum Museum of Contemporary Art strives to be fully accessible to our community and complies with ADA guidelines. All Daum galleries and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. An elevator is located near the stairs. One manual wheelchair is available free of charge at the front desk. Please call in advance to reserve it if you need a wheelchair during your visit. Service animals are welcome in the museum.
The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art offers three exhibition cycles each year and up to 15 exhibitions. There are nine exhibition galleries on three levels.
The museum’s permanent collection includes more than 1,500 artworks by some of the most highly regarded artists of the past 50 years.
The museum works with pre-kindergarten through college groups to explore art. Remember, your never too old to learn something new.
Guided tours provide visitors an interactive and engaging experience. These tours help provide insight to the untrained eye.
The Daum employs Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) as its main educational platform. Another way to stimulate the mind and enhance your experience.
Beautiful, one-of-a-kind catalogs illustrating major exhibits are created to celebrate the artist and the event. Bring one home as a gift to a loved one.
Admission is free, visitors are welcome to make a donation or purchase a membership during their visit.
Expect to spend 2 – 5 hours touring the Daum and all of it’s exhibits depending interest.
Travel time is short. The Daum is located in Sedalia just minutes from the heart of downtown.

In addition to the thrill of the annual 11-day Missouri State Fair held in August, the 396 acres of the Missouri State Fairgrounds Historic District hosts dozens of facilities and events such as livestock shows, camping rallies, sporting events, and auto racing throughout the year.

Built in 1924, the Courthouse proudly displays the Circuit Courthouse Murals by St. Louis muralist, Barbara Manes Campbell, depicting Pettis County’s history including George Whiteman, the Missouri State Fair, Scott Joplin, the railroad, and other items of historical significance.

Founded by the Pettis County Historical Society to preserve the rich and vast history of Pettis County, the Museum opened to the public in 2006 as a place to display historic items. Programs and fund-raisers are held throughout the year.
Built in 1896 to as a fully functional railroad station, today the Katy Depot serves as Sedalia’s official welcome center and is currently occupied by the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, the railroad heritage exhibits, The Depot Store, and serves as a Trailhead to the Katy Trail State Park.
The first library to receive an Andrew Carnegie Grant in the state of Missouri, the structure was dedicated in 1901. Boasting marble floors, open fireplaces, white oak woodwork, it is made of terra cotta and Carthage stone.

The Heckart Performing Arts Center is located on the north end of Smith-Cotton High School. Construction of the center began in 2007 and was completed in February 2010. Construction was made possible by an extremely generous donation from the Heckart Family Foundation. The center seats 732 people with 8 additional wheel chair spots. It features state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

The Liberty Center Association for the Arts is a renovated 1920s theatre in downtown Sedalia, offering performing and cultural arts, civic theatre productions, visual art exhibits, arts education classes.
The Stauffacher Center for Fine Arts on the State Fair Community College (SFCC) campus features an artist and lecturer series in the Goddard Gallery and several theater and musical productions throughout the year in the Stauffacher Theatre.
SFCC’s Stauffacher Theatre is a proscenium arch theatre with 24 fly lines, computerized lighting, a versatile acoustic system, fully-equipped scene shop, large modern dressing rooms, and a makeup area and costume shop. It seats 239 for an exceptional audience experience.
The Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre focuses on intimate performances and allows for stage and seating configurations to change into venues such as theatre in the round, corner seating or arena seating for 80 to 90.

Take the kids swimming at Liberty Pool – the perfect place to cool off and escape the heat and humidity of summertime in Missouri. Must be 72 degrees or higher to open for swimming – if weather is questionable, call the pool first. Centennial and Liberty pools are a great place to have a summer get-together. Lifeguards will be on duty during your gathering – call early to book your summer pool party!
